The Saudi-Singaporean roundtable meeting was held in Riyadh on Wednesday, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong, the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim, the Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, the Advisor at the Royal Court, Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Toonsi, CEOs of major companies, and Saudi and Singaporean representatives of the government and private sectors.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest updates of Saudi Vision 2030 and its remarkable achievements so far, highlighting the unprecedented transformation has been made in the Kingdom over the past seven years since the launch of the ambitious vision, in addition to discussing investment partnership opportunities in the energy, financial, transportation, logistics and infrastructure sectors.
The meeting also stressed the importance of cooperation in new and innovative projects to support the economic fields in the Kingdom and Singapore and discussing the cooperation in the field of renewable energy and green hydrogen, along with increasing the volume of supporting the field of logistics, infrastructure and human capital development, in addition to cooperation in the entertainment industry, including the basic sectors, such as, hospitality, events, and entertainment parks.
The Saudi-Singaporean roundtable meeting aims to enhancing investment relations between the two countries, strengthening economic and investment ties between the Kingdom and Singapore, developing qualitative investments for entrepreneurial companies, and supporting the private sector to take advantage of opportunities in both countries.
