ROSHN Group Given Award at 13th Saudi Green Building Forum

ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading national real estate developer and PIF-funded giga-project, was given an award at the 13th Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF) in the Energy and Water Category, reflecting the group’s commitment to sustainability and protecting natural resources.

Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail presented the award to ROSHN’s Group Chief Development Officer Oussama Kabbani; it was received in recognition of ROSHN’s achievements and innovations in the efficient utilization and management of energy and water resources in its projects.

Part of ROSHN’s wide-ranging sustainability scheme is the group’s focus on energy and water consumption, with particular success gained from the incorporation of energy- and water-efficient technologies and practices into its developments.

ROSHN is the Official Urban Development Partner of SGBF, which took place in Riyadh from October 9 to 10. At the forum, Kabbani participated in a panel discussion about the Kingdom’s initiatives and efforts to conceptualize and develop the world’s most ambitious sustainable giga-projects, sharing insights alongside National Housing Company Chief Development Officer Khalid Al Sehamy; THE LINE, NEOM Chief Operating Officer Giles Pendleton; Diriyah Gate Development Authority Director of Smart Cities and Environmental Sustainability Julie Alexander; and Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) Chief Executive Officer Tony Cripps.

ROSHN’s head of Program and Project Management Amer Kharbush delivered a keynote address in which he tackled the development of inclusive, safe and resilient cities that foster the sustainability of the built environment and infrastructure, and participated in a panel on market drivers for smart, green building solutions and the convergence of technology with the built environment.
