The Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal F. Alibrahim, affirmed that confronting unprecedented global challenges, particularly in climate change, sustainability, and post-pandemic economic recovery, requires innovative solutions where collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia and Portugal can play an important role.
During his opening remarks at the Saudi-Portuguese Investment Forum held here today, Alibrahim disclosed that the 6th session of the Saudi-Portuguese Joint Committees takes place as bilateral trade is experiencing significant growth.
“From 2021 to 2022, Saudi exports to Portugal surged by 50%, and imports from Portugal increased by almost 40%, culminating in a trade volume of $1 billion, underscoring the potential for enhanced collaboration between the two nations,” the Minister of Economy and Planning said.
