Kuwait Ministry of Finance: One of our systems exposed to a ‎hacking attempt by a virus ‎

Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance announced that one of its systems had been subjected to a hacking attempt via a virus at dawn today, adding that it had activated protection systems and procedures and disengaged the systems.

The Ministry explained in a statement that salary transfer procedures will not be affected by this hack because the government’s financial systems are disconnected, noting that the level of the hacking attempt is being evaluated.
