Jubail Industrial Port Welcomes Samsung Engineering Cargo

King Fahad Industrial Port in Jubail has received 16 heavy shipments ordered by Samsung Engineering as part of their $653 million project to build a petrochemical plant for the Advanced Global Investment Company (AGIC) in Jubail Industrial City.

The successful handling of the incoming consignment puts into sharp focus the world-class capabilities of the Arabian Gulf hub, made possible by the full-scale upgrades and investments carried out by the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) in line with the Global Supply Chain Resilience Initiative that seeks to position the Kingdom as a key link in the global logistics network.

A state-of-the-art facility featuring 34 berths and a throughput capacity of 70 million tons, King Fahad Industrial Port was established in 1982 to serve as a trade gateway for Jubail’s booming industrial complex and boost the Kingdom’s economic output as a leading manufacturer of petrochemical products
