Governor of Saudi Digital Government Authority Meets with Representatives of International Organizations, Technical Companies

Governor of Digital Government Authority Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al-Suwaiyan and his accompanying delegation met with CEOs and executives in the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and large technology companies on the sidelines of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Summit in New York City.

The summit saw the launch of the “Digital Government Market” and the “UN Friends for Digital Cooperation” initiative with the aim of enhancing expertise exchange and cooperation among member states to realize the SDGs.

Al-Suwaiyan signed memoranda of understanding with a number of large companies, including with IBM, Nutanix Inc., Microsoft, and PWC.

He held meetings with the UN undersecretary general for economic and social affairs and the director of the Middle East and Central Asia department at the IMF to discuss the Kingdom’s leading digital transformation expertise and best practices.

The delegation organized a workshop in Washington DC in cooperation with the World Bank to shed light on the Kingdom’s achievements in digital government. The delegation also met with a team of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to discuss investment opportunities in digital government.
