Apple officially announced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max during the “Wonderlust” conference, as the new Pro models use a brushed titanium body instead of stainless steel.
Apple says that the new iPhone 15 Pro is the lightest professional model ever, and it also features the thinnest sides so far, as the overall dimension has been reduced without reducing the screen size.
The new iPhone 15 Pro also features a new “action button” instead of the mute switch, which can launch the Camera app, call up shortcuts or accessibility features, start a voice memo, and more.
iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max also include the all-new A17 Pro chip, Apple’s first 3nm chip, and USB-C I/O supports data transfer at up to 10Gbps. per second using the optional USB3 cable, and the 20% faster GPU includes retinal shading and hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
As for the camera system, Apple says that it has the equivalent of seven camera lenses (using three physical lenses), and there is a new nano-coating that reduces lens flare, and the 48-megapixel sensor will provide improved performance in low light. 48MP HEIF is now supported (no longer ProRAW only).
This year’s Pro version comes with a 6.1-inch screen, and the Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen, and it seems that Apple believes that these devices can be prepared to raise the level of the types of games that you can play on your phone.
The price of the iPhone 15 Pro will start at $999, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at $1,199.
