GASTAT: The Kingdom’s commodity exports value hit SR88.8 ‎bln during June

Today (Thursday), the General Authority for Statistics revealed that the Kingdom’s commodity exports decreased in June by 39.9% compared to the same month last year, as their value amounted to 88.8 billion riyals in June, compared to 147 billion riyals in June 2022. ,

The authority stated that the decrease in commodity exports came as a result of a decrease in petroleum exports by 44.5 billion riyals, or 38.3%, as it amounted to 71.9 billion riyals, compared to 116.4 billion riyals in June 2022, with an increase in the percentage of petroleum exports out of the total exports from 79.1% in June. 2022 to 81% in June 2023.

The value of merchandise exports decreased compared to May 2023 by 10.0 billion riyals, or by 10.1%.

Non-oil exports, “including re-exports,” decreased by 45.0% from June 2022, as they recorded 16.9 billion riyals compared to 30.7 billion riyals. Non-oil exports, “excluding re-exports,” decreased to 46.1%, while the value of Re-exports increased by 39.8% in the same period

The value of non-oil exports, “including re-exports,” decreased by 9.9 billion riyals, or by 36.8%, compared to May 2023.

In terms of imports, they decreased in June 2023 by 17.1%, by 10.6 billion riyals; As it amounted to 51.4 billion riyals in June 2023, compared to 62.1 billion riyals in June 2022.

The value of imports also decreased, compared to the previous month, May 2023, by 17.7 billion riyals, or by 25.6%.
