GASTAT: Non-oil merchandise exports decreased for of June by ‎‎32.8%‎

The ratio of non-oil merchandise exports (including re-exports) to imports decreased in June 2023, reaching 32.8% compared to 49.5% in June 2022, as a result of the significant decline in non-oil exports, which amounted to 45%, compared to the decline in imports, which amounted to 17.1%. % during this period

According to the data issued by the General Authority for Statistics today, the products of the chemical industries and related products, which are among the most important non-oil export commodities, decreased as they accounted for 29.1% of total non-oil exports compared to 53.3% by 5.6 billion riyals in June 2022, followed by plastics, rubber and its products, which accounted for 27.4% of total non-oil exports, decreased by 48.3%, by 4.3 billion riyals from June 2022.

On the other hand, the most important imported commodities were machinery, appliances, electrical equipment and their parts, which constituted 20.2% of the total imports, followed by transportation equipment and their parts, which constituted 18.2%.

Non-oil exports were distributed according to means of transport, as they came at a rate of 66.9% for marine transport, 22.8% for land transport, and 10.3% for air transport, while the distribution of imports was 62.1% for marine transport, 25.5% for air transport, and 12.4% for air transport for land transport.
