Bill Gates: School didn’t interest me during my childhood

Despite the success in the financial and business life of the American billionaire and co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, he viewed school as a boring matter during his childhood.

And according to “CNBC”, during an interview with the Unconfuse Me podcast, the 67-year-old said that he did not find education an enjoyable issue when he was in middle school.

He added: At an early stage of my studies in mathematics, I was a bit lazy..and when I was in the eighth grade, a teacher told me why you are so lazy..you can be really good at that issue.

But Gates replied to his teacher that he does not do anything exciting by studying mathematics, adding: Perhaps that was an excuse..I kind of had this opinion..the less effort you make, the cooler you are.

Nevertheless, Gates’ teacher took this opportunity to encourage him to put some effort into education, by giving him books to read, and motivating him more.

He continued: This made a big difference in my belief that I was wasting my time..and contributed to changing my entire view of education.

According to a study by Yale University, published in 2020, 75% of adolescents feel bored in the classroom, stressing that tension and stress contribute to their negative views.
