‎”Al-Othaim Investment” obtains a license from Audiovisual ‎Media Commission to operate cinemas in Saudi Arabia

Abdullah Al-Othaim Investment Company has obtained a license from General Commission for Audiovisual Media, to establish and operate cinemas in Saudi Arabia, after it has completed all the technical requirements and conditions necessary to obtain the operating license.

Mr. Mishaal bin Omairah, CEO of Abdullah Al-Othaim Investment Company, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the General Commission for Audiovisual Media for its fruitful and constructive cooperation and for its efforts in upgrading the audiovisual media sector and transforming it into an integrated national industry and keeping pace with enhancing the size of the media market and bringing about a qualitative shift that makes the sector One of the tributaries of the national economy.

Bin Omairah said that Al-Othaim Investment Company’s obtaining the operating license comes within the framework of the company’s integrated future strategy by expanding its systematic investment business network in all sectors, especially the entertainment sector, which is considered one of the promising and stimulating sectors, in addition to the company’s interest in actively participating in the quality of life program and developing the necessary space to provide more vital options that enhance positive lifestyles in society and keep pace with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Bin Omaira explained that the company has developed an integrated strategy to advance its business in the cinema sector, as it plans to open more than (20) high-quality cinemas during the next five years in various parts of the Kingdom.

The cinemas will be opened in the company’s current projects and the new, exemplary and qualitative projects that it had previously announced, in order to provide an integrated world-class viewing experience according to exceptional and distinct concepts that are in line with local and international standards, by providing qualified cadres who enjoy experience, support and the necessary skills as well. The use of the latest means of display to create an attractive and comfortable environment suitable for all social and age groups and to achieve their satisfaction and enjoyment of entertainment and entertainment in accordance with the privacy and uniqueness of the Saudi society.

It is expected that the targeted theatres will provide more than (3) thousand jobs for Saudi youth of both sexes, in support and promotion of the state’s efforts in the Saudization of jobs.
