Meng Wanzhou, rotating president of the company, said that Huawei has invested heavily in core technologies in order to take advantage of the trends of digitization, artificial intelligence and decarbonisation, with a focus on creating value for its customers and partners.

In 2022, the company achieved total revenue of 642.3 billion yuan, an increase from the revenue achieved in 2021 of 636.8 billion yuan. Expenditure on research and development rose to 161.5 billion yuan in 2022, accounting for 25.1 percent of the company’s total revenue.
