Saudi Council of Economic and Development Affairs Discusses National Economy Key Indicators & Vision 2030 Programs to Realize Strategic Goals

The Economic and Development Affairs Council has virtually held a meeting, during which the council reviewed several reports, presentations, and topics on its agenda, including the periodic presentation of the Ministry of Economy and Planning on local and global economic developments.

The presentation included details of the key indicators of the national economy, and the growth rate witnessed during the last period in several sectors and activities. The presentation also included a comprehensive review, latest developments, and an analysis of main indicators of the global economy during the last period.

 The Council also reviewed the quarterly report submitted by the Office of the Strategic Committee of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs to realize the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which included a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of the programs, the achievements, as well as future aspirations, and the role of the vision programs in achieving the strategic goals.

 During its meeting, the Council discussed a presentation submitted by the Project Management Office at the Secretariat of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development regarding the decisions and recommendations issued by the Council for the second quarter of 2023, as the Council closely follows the level of completion of the tasks assigned to the concerned authorities, appreciating the high rate of implementation of the tasks and assignments despite their increase, in addition to the noticeable increase in the number of government agencies that achieved 98% in performance indicators.

 The Council has taken necessary decisions and recommendations regarding these issues.
