The Japanese stock index “Nikki” closed today lower for the fifth consecutive session, recording its longest streak of losses this year, affected by the rise in the yen and the weakness of Wall Street last week.
The Nikkei index decreased by 0.61%, to close at 32189.73 points, while the broader Topix index fell by 0.51%, to end its trading at 2243.33 points.
