Lunet, an artificial intelligence company in the medical field, announced today, Wednesday, that it will participate in the SEHA Virtual Hospital project, which is one of the main tasks of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
According to the Korean Yonhap Agency, the SEHA Virtual Hospital project aims to provide specialized services and support health facilities throughout Saudi Arabia using digital technologies, such as medical artificial intelligence.
Lunet stated that the Saudi government plans to invest $66 billion to build medical infrastructure and expand private sector participation to 65%.
Lunet said that she had installed AI chest X-ray image analysis solutions and AI mammography image analysis solutions in a public virtual hospital affiliated with the Saudi Ministry of Health.
The company plans to confirm the safety and clinical efficacy of its AI solutions and evaluate the performance of its products by November. If the company succeeds in evaluating the performance, its products will be used in the national cancer and tuberculosis screening program in 170 virtual hospitals across Saudi Arabia.
Lunit CEO Seo Bum-seok said the company will actively target the high-margin Middle East medical market by participating in the SEHA Virtual Hospital project.
