Japanese stock index closed lower after two sessions of gains
The Japanese stock market index closed today, Thursday, lower after two consecutive sessions of gains, under pressure from the decline in shares of chip companies.
Today, the Nikkei index fell 1.24%, at 32490.52 points, while the broader Topix index fell 0.79%, at 2260.90 points.
