On Wednesday, the US investment bank Goldman Sachs research unit reduced, in a report, the possibility of a recession in the United States during 2024, noting that the inflation rate had reached an acceptable level.
According to “CNN”, Goldman Sachs experts expected an economic recession of 20 percent next year, compared to 25 percent previously, and added that the gross domestic product of the United States increased by 2.3 percent during the second quarter of this year.
The head of the Goldman Sachs research unit and chief economist, Jan Hatzius, said that US economic activity remains resilient.
Hatzios added that the US economy will continue to grow thanks to the improvement in financial conditions, and the recovery of the housing market and factories, albeit at a slower pace, he said.
