France’s Finance Minister: We are optimistic about Tesla ‎making huge investments in our country ‎

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said today, Sunday, that he is “very optimistic” about Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, choosing his country to pump huge investments related to the production of electric cars in Europe.

According to Reuters, Musk recently met with French government officials, led by President Emmanuel Macron, to explore options for future production sites.

When asked if the investment could be linked to battery cells or other components manufactured by Tesla, Le Maire told (LCI) television, “There are several options on the table.”

He added that Musk “knows that he will be welcome in France… It is up to him to make the decision.”
