Al-Hilal seeks to conclude most expensive deal in football ‎history to include Mbappe, at 300 million euros

Today, Al-Hilal Club made an offer of 300 million euros (1.25 billion riyals) to Paris Saint-Germain, to sign French international Kylian Mbappe. The width of the Crescent is the highest in the history of football in the world. And in the event that the deal is completed, the contract of Al Hilal club will be the most expensive in history, surpassing the deal to buy Paris Saint-Germain’s contract for the Brazilian Neymar from Barcelona, Spain, for an amount of 222 million euros, which took place in 2017.

According to international news, Al-Hilal club made an offer to the 24-year-old Mbappe, with a one-year contract, at a salary of 700 million euros.

The Paris Saint-Germain club management wants to sell the remainder of the player’s contract before it expires, due to its dissatisfaction with the player’s plan to sign with Spanish club Real Madrid after the end of the 2023-2024 season for free to the French club.

It is noteworthy that the total spending of the Saudi Roshen Professional League clubs on player contracts during the summer transfer period for the current year amounted to about 219 million euros (910 million riyals). Al-Hilal is the league club spending the most to attract players, with a total expenditure of 118 million euros so far.

It is noteworthy that Al-Hilal Club is among four clubs in which the Public Investment Fund owns a 75% stake, in addition to Al-Nasr, Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad, as part of the investment and privatization project for sports clubs, which aims to build an effective sports sector by stimulating the private sector and enabling it to contribute to the development of the sports sector.
