Under Patronage of HRH Crown Prince, Foreign Minister to Inaugurate 10th Arab-China Business Conference on Sunday in Riyadh

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, will inaugurate the 10th Arab-China Business Conference on Sunday, June 11, 2023, in Riyadh. Themed “Collaborating for Prosperity,” the two-day conference is the most significant economic Arab-Chinese event of its kind and marks the first time the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is hosting it.

The Ministry of Investment, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Arab League, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Union of Arab Chambers, is organizing the conference. The main objective of the 10th Arab-China Business Conference is to enhance commercial and economic cooperation between the Arab and Chinese business communities, as well as explore investment opportunities across various sectors. Key areas of cooperation include technology, renewable energy, agriculture, real estate, minerals, supply chains, and innovation. The conference program includes dialogue sessions and bilateral meetings to discuss strategies for achieving prosperity and sustainable development in Arab countries and China.

The patronage of HRH the Crown Prince aligns with the Saudi leadership’s commitment to nurturing strategic partnerships with influential global economic powers, stated the Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih. The Kingdom aims to establish balanced relations that yield sustainable and productive benefits for all parties involved. Eng. Al-Falih highlighted that the upcoming event is the largest of its kind and will significantly advance trade relationships between China and the Arab world. Over 150 Chinese and Arab ministers and leaders of major companies will be participating in the conference, which features eight-panel sessions, 18 workshops, side meetings, and activities. The gathering aims to showcase high-quality projects, the latest technologies, and agencies working on improving Chinese-Arab economic relations.

The inauguration ceremony of the Arab-China Business Conference will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah; the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit; the Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; and the Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih. Saudi and Arab ministers will also participate in the panel sessions.

With over 3,000 decision-makers, government officials, investors, business owners, and experts from 23 countries, the 10th Session of the Arab-China Business Conference aims to enhance the strategic Arab-China partnership based on the Belt and Road Initiative in the fields of investment, economy, and trade.
