S&P 500 ends at 14-month high ‎

The Standard & Poor’s 500 and Nasdaq indexes jumped on Thursday, closing at their highest levels in 14 months, as investors celebrated data that raised bets that the Federal Reserve (the US central bank) is close to ending its aggressive campaign to raise interest rates.

According to “Reuters”, according to preliminary data, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose by 53.67 points, or 1.23 percent, to close at 4,426.26 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 156.34 points, or 1.15 percent, to 13,782.82 points. And the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 430.31 points, or 1.27 percent, to 34,415.46 points.
