Saudi Minister of Transport: Kingdom’s airports attracted 25 ‎million passengers during Q1‎

The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saleh Al-Jasser, said that the operations of Riyadh Airlines will focus on the capital, while Saudi Airlines will be based in Jeddah.

According to Al-Arabiya, Al-Jasser indicated that the Kingdom’s airports attracted more than 25 million passengers during the first quarter of this year.

He added, “We seek to obtain a large share of transit passengers in the region, and we are also establishing an aviation industry based on a strong economy.”

And he stated that the Kingdom aims to reach the number of travelers to 330 million people in 2030

The minister revealed that the Kingdom will turn into a global logistics center, while King Salman Airport will represent a revolution in the world of airports.

Al-Jasser pointed out that all Saudi airports are undergoing developments and expansions, while 4 new airports are under construction.
