Saudi Minister of Commerce discuss encouraging British ‎companies to expand their business in the Kingdom

The Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, at the head of a high-level Saudi delegation, arrived today in the British capital, London. To participate in the work of the third meeting of the Economic and Social Committee of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council, in addition to holding a series of bilateral meetings with officials from the government and business sectors; It aims to enhance intra-trade in products and services, and raise the level of economic partnership between the two friendly countries

The two ministers will discuss strengthening economic partnership in priority sectors for the two countries, as well as encouraging British companies to expand their business in the Kingdom, in addition to discussing stimulating and financing emerging companies in promising fields based on research and innovation, and reviewing the British experience in developing entrepreneurship.

The agenda of the visit includes meetings with the Minister of State for Middle East and North African Affairs, Lord Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed, the Minister of State for Energy Security and Zero Neutrality Grant Shapps, and the Minister of Trade and Business Kimi Badinosh, in addition to a meeting with the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Education, Sir Steve Smith.

He holds a number of meetings with the British business sector, most notably a meeting with CEO of Rolls-Royce Tofan Argenbilgic, as well as meetings with officials from the British Accreditation Authority (UKAS), in addition to participating in a dialogue session with members of the Asian House, Which is an intellectual institution concerned with promoting trade exchange between Asia, the Middle East and Europe

Al-Qasabi and his accompanying delegation are participating in the works and sessions of the “Saudi-British Business and Trade Partnership Forum”, which is organized by the National Competitiveness Center, in cooperation with the Joint Saudi-British Business Council and the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

The delegation’s program includes field visits to a number of specialized educational centers, including Dulwich College and business innovation centers; With the aim of identifying the quality practices and experiences of Britain in various fields
