Saudi Arabia, China discuss energy supply security, joint ‎ventures to convert crude oil into petrochemicals

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields of energy, in a way that achieves the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, and reflects the two countries’ efforts to diversify and develop their economies.

The meeting also discussed areas of cooperation between the two sides, the importance of ensuring the security of energy supplies to markets, the establishment of joint projects to convert crude oil into petrochemicals, innovative uses of hydrocarbons, peaceful uses of nuclear energy, nuclear fuel, national projects in the exploration and mining of uranium, projects Electricity, renewable energy, clean hydrogen, energy efficiency, and the two countries’ endeavor to enhance their cooperation in the energy sector supply chains, which contributes to enhancing their flexibility and effectiveness, and the importance of this cooperation to achieve energy transitions in a sustainable manner, taking into account its basic pillars.
