Director of National Information Center at SDAIA Meets with Director of Digital Development Global Practice at World Bank

The Director of the National Information Center at the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), Dr. Esam bin Abdullah Al-Wagait, held a meeting with the Director of the Digital Development Global Practice at the World Bank, Christine Zhenwei Qiang, and her accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the SDAIA headquarters and was attended by several SDAIA officials.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role within the Digital Development Partnership framework, which aims to foster growth and prosperity in developing countries. The meeting also shed light on SDAIA’s efforts within the Digital Development Partnership Council.

As part of the visit, SDAIA organized a separate meeting with the Director of the Digital Development Global Practice at the World Bank, which was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Fund for Development, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, the National Cybersecurity Authority, the Digital Government Authority, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and “SCAI” and “Elm” companies, which are owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

During this meeting, the participants discussed the Kingdom’s pioneering role in digital development, its policies in this regard, and the active role that the Kingdom plays in promoting digital development policies at the international level and harmonizing and supporting efforts related to digital development in developing countries.
