Alinma Tokio Marine appoints Hisham Al-Barrak as member of the BOD

Alinma Tokio Marine Company announced on Wednesday that the approval of its Board of Directors, pursuant to Board Resolution No. (22/2023), dated 22/05/20231, to appoint Dr. Hesham bin Mohammad Al-Barrak (independent member) to the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member In the Executive Committee, starting from the date of receiving Saudi Central Bank approval until the end of the current session of the Board, which ends on 08/06/2024.

The company received an e-mail from the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia on 06/06/2023, which includes the non-objection of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia to this appointment.

Dr. Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Barrak obtained a PhD in Accounting Information Systems from Griffith University, Australia, and currently works as a faculty member in the Accounting Department at Al-Faisal University in Riyadh.

Dr. Hisham has more than ten years of experience in the field of accounting and auditing, as he participates in the membership of audit committees and boards of directors of a number of companies and entities in the Kingdom.

He also currently holds the position of a key member of the Sharia Committee of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and worked as a consultant for training and development in the Saudi Organization for Auditors and Accountants, and as a deputy to the board of directors of the Saudi Accounting Association.
