The National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC) announced on Sunday the approval of the Board of Directors on 08/04/2023 on the resignation of the Audit Committee member, Dr. Amr bin Khaled Kurdi (an independent member from outside the Board) from the Audit Committee membership, the resignation shall be effective from 08/04/2023.
And the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Khaled bin Salem Al-Ruwais (an independent member from outside the Board) as a member of the Audit Committee succeeding the resigned member effective form 08/04/2023 until the end of the current term of the Audit Committee, which ends on 04/10/2024. This appointment shall be presented to the General Assembly at its first meeting for approval.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Khaled Al-Ruwais holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University and is a certified public accountant from the United States of America. He has extensive experience in the fields of accounting, auditing, and financial management.
He has also held several managerial positions in Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden), with his latest position being the Acting CEO of the company.
In addition, he has held several board memberships in various companies, including being a board member & NRC member of the SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company, as well as being appointed as a board member at HASSANA Investment Company, also appointed as board member and Audit Committee Chairman at Saudi Investment Bank and Audit Committee Chairman at Saudi Electricity Company.
