A spokesman for the European Central Bank said that the bank will hold an emergency meeting of the supervisory board today, Friday, to discuss concern in the banking sector after the recent market volatility.
According to “Reuters,” the spokesman told Reuters, “The supervisory board will meet to exchange visions and to inform members of the latest developments in the banking sector.”
The meeting follows a similar meeting that took place a few days ago and comes after the bank raised interest rates by 50 basis points on Thursday.
