Abdulrahman Al-Faqih appointed as CEO of SABIC

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) announced on Wednesday the decision of the Board of Directors on March 21, 2023, to appoint Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Saleh Al-Fageeh, as CEO, as of March 21, 2023.

In the same context, the Board of Directors of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) decided to appoint Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Saleh Al-Fageeh, as a member to fill the vacant seat in the Board of Directors (executive member), as of March 21, 2023, until The end of the current session of the Board of Directors, which will end on April 09, 2025.

This comes with reference to the decision of the Board of Directors of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) issued on September 28, 2022, regarding the acceptance of the resignation of his Excellency Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan from the membership of the Board of Directors of the company.

Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Saleh Al-Fageeh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and MBA from Bradford University in the UK.

He is also SABIC CEO. He is the Chairman of SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company and the Nusaned Investment Company. He is also the Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association and the Chairman of the Petrochemical Manufacturers Committee. Mr. Al-Fageeh is also on the Board of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and is a board member of the Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT).
