Saudi Minister of Energy discusses with German Minister of ‎State initiatives in climate change, reducing emissions

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, met in his office in Riyadh with Minister of State and Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the German Foreign Ministry, Jennifer Morgan.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest between the two countries in the field of climate action, which include the field of clean energy technologies to manage emissions of hydrocarbons, renewable energy sources, and clean hydrogen, as the Kingdom is working to be the largest exporter of it in the world.

The meeting also dealt with the Kingdom’s specific initiatives in confronting the phenomenon of climate change and reducing emissions, foremost of which are the Saudi Green and Green Middle East initiatives, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in a way that achieves the aspirations and goals of the two sides in dealing with emissions through carbon capture, use, recycling and storage projects within a carbon approach, and circular carbon economy.
