Korean “SNT Energy” expands its factory in Saudi Arabia ‎

The Korean energy company SNT said today, Thursday, that it held a ceremony to celebrate the expansion of the first plant of its subsidiary “SNT Gulf” and the establishment of its new second plant in Dammam.

According to the Korean Yonhap Agency, the “SNT Gulf” company is 100% owned by “SNT Energy”, which applied to Saudi Arabia as the first South Korean company for petrochemicals and power plant equipment.

The first plant will produce air coolers, while the second plant will produce power generation facilities for nuclear power plants and combined-cycle power plants. Under the expansion of the first factory and the establishment of the second factory, the company’s production capacity is doubled.

Through this, the company plans to win projects in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, and expand its exports

The ceremony that was held on Wednesday was attended by Prince Mishaal bin Muhammad bin Abdulaziz, Fouad Muhammad Musa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy, and Salem Al-Huraish, Vice President for Procurement at Saudi Aramco.

During the ceremony, SNT Gulf signed a memorandum of understanding with Aramco to enhance bilateral cooperation.

Under this MoU, Aramco will work to provide more opportunities to participate in local projects for SNT Gulf, and SNT Gulf will cooperate with Aramco in increasing investment in facilities and establishing an educational academy in Saudi Arabia.

“SNT Gulf” announced its plan for additional investment in Saudi Arabia.

The company plans to produce the necessary equipment for the construction of nuclear power plants and new combined-cycle power plants in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, such as heat recovery boilers (HRSG) and condenser, through the establishment of its second factory.
