The main indices of Wall Street opened lower today, Friday, as statements by senior bank executives increased fears of slowing economic growth, while the Nasdaq index was also affected by a drop in Tesla shares.
According to “Reuters”, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 257.18 points, or 0.75 percent, to 33932.79 at the opening.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 opened, down 22.57 points, or 0.57 percent, at 3,960.60 points, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 94.74 points, or 0.86 percent, to 10,906.37 points at the opening.
