Tihama Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing Company announced that the General Authority for Competition has filed an appeal before the Administrative Court in Riyadh against the decision of the Committee for Adjudication of Competition Law Violations to dismiss the case against the company, and a session for the case was set before the Administrative Court in Riyadh on Wednesday January 11, 2023.
The company said in a statement today on “Tadawul” that it is too early to determine the financial impact of the case and it will be reported in due course.
The Company explained that the procedures taken by the company, including the assessment of the responsibility that it may bear as a result of the lawsuit, and the company assigned an external lawyer to respond to the lawsuit and defend interests.
It is mentioned that the Public Prosecutor of the General Authority for Competition had previously filed a lawsuit before the Committee for Adjudication of Competition Law Violations against Tihama Company for Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing to demand the imposition of a fine not exceeding 10% of the total sales or not less than SAR 10 million when it is impossible to estimate the sales and it has been issued The decision of the General Secretariat of the Committee for Adjudication of Competition Law Violations on 26-08-1443 H to dismiss the lawsuit of the Public Prosecutor of the General Authority for Competition filed against the defendant, Tihama Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing Company, as a result of the lack of evidence that the defendant committed this violation.
