GASTAT: Saudi industrial production index increased by 8.6% in ‎November

The industrial production index in the Kingdom for the month of November 2022 AD increased by (8.6%) compared to the same month of the year 2021 AD as a result of the increase in mining and quarrying activity, and the activity of the manufacturing industry.

The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) revealed, in its monthly bulletin of the industrial production index issued today, that the index of mining and quarrying activity for November 2022 increased by 5.7% compared to the same month of the previous year (November 2021), and the manufacturing activity increased in the month of November. November 2022, by 19.7% compared to the same month of the previous year (November 2021), while the electricity and gas supply activity decreased by 10.9% compared to November 2021.

The Authority stated that the annual growth rate in the index in November 2022 was positive, as the industrial production index achieved positive growth rates during the previous months, supported by the rise in mining activity, quarrying and manufacturing activity.

It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Statistics issues a number of statistical products related to industry, including the index of the industrial production index, which is an economic indicator that reflects the relative changes and development in the volume of industrial production quantities based on the data of the industrial production survey, which is implemented monthly and targets industrial establishments that It operates in the targeted activities, which are represented in the activity of mining and quarrying, the activity of the manufacturing industry, and the activity of electricity and gas supplies.
