EuroZone Investor sentiment improved for 3rd month in a row

A survey showed today, Monday, that investor sentiment in the euro zone improved for the third consecutive month in January to its highest level since June 2022, but it remained in the negative range, which reflects a difficult economic situation.

According to Reuters, the Sentix index for the eurozone rose to minus 17.5 in January from minus 21 in December, exceeding analysts’ expectations for a reading of minus 18.

The expectations index rose to -15.8 from -22 in December, the highest level since February 2022.

The index of the outlook for the current situation in the eurozone also rose to negative 19.3 from negative 20, which is the highest level since August 2022 and also the third consecutive rise.

Sentix said that the survey included 1,228 investors, conducted between January 5 and January 7.
