Bloomberg: Flynas to obtain air operator license in two ‎countries

Bandar Al-Muhanna, CEO of flynas, revealed in a statement to the international news agency “Bloomberg” that the company’s board of directors approved a plan to obtain an air operator’s license in two new countries with the aim of doubling operations and expanding internationally as part of the company’s strategic plan to connect the world with the Kingdom and achieve goals The national strategy for the civil aviation sector in the Saudi vision, to reach 330 million passengers annually, and to connect the Kingdom with 250 destinations around the world by 2030.

Al-Muhanna confirmed that flynas doubled its numbers in performance and operation during the year 2022 compared to last year 2021, recording an increase of 91% in the number of passengers, as the number of passengers on flynas flights increased to 8.7 million passengers during 2022, while it reached The number of flights reached 66,000, an increase of 45%, and the seat capacity increased by 46%, after our success in increasing the size of the Flynas fleet, to a total of 43 aircraft, Pointing out the company’s intention to be among the top 5 low-cost airlines in the world, after it advanced last September to the list of the top ten airlines of its category, according to the Skytrax classification, the most important global standard in the aviation industry.

Al-Muhanna said, “During 2022, we expanded and launched 16 new destinations and 30 new routes, which included cities in the Gulf region, Africa, Asia and Europe, despite the challenges we face in operating some destinations,” noting that flynas aims to be the largest low-cost airline in the Middle East, especially after the company’s board of directors approved a purchase order for 250 aircraft.
