Report: Brazilian Junior seeks to terminate his contract with ‎Nike

Brazilian Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior is seeking to break the sponsorship deal with sportswear company Nike, UOL said on Sunday, adding that the player feels he has been treated unfairly by the US-based company.

The report stated that Vinicius Junior, who is currently playing with the Brazilian national team in the World Cup in Qatar, contacted lawyers to seek a lawsuit with the aim of terminating the contract, which runs until 2028.

Vinicius Junior, 22, is considered one of the largest Nike deals in Brazil, which is linked to a sponsorship contract with the American sportswear manufacturer, after the company canceled its sponsorship deal for Neymar in 2021.
