EIA: US shale oil production jumps to a record high in January

The US Energy Information Administration said in its report on production on Monday that oil production from major shale crude regions in the United States is set to rise by about 94,500 barrels per day, to a record level of 9.32 million barrels per day in January.

According to “Reuters”, the Energy Information Administration expected that US production of crude oil in the Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico, the largest shale oil basin in the United States, would increase by about 37 thousand barrels per day to 5.58 million barrels per day in January, which is the highest level ever.
