‎“SABIC” signs a joint development agreement to study ‎feasibility of investing in Polish petrochemical sector ‎

SABIC, the global diversified chemicals company, has signed a joint development agreement with Aramco, the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals company, and PKN Orlen, Poland’s largest energy group, for evaluation. The joint technical and economic feasibility of establishing a petrochemical production project in (Gdansk) in Poland.

For his part, Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Saleh Al-Faqih, Acting CEO of SABIC, explained that the company’s position and global presence in the chemicals sector contributed to providing innovative solutions focused on customers in Europe and the world, indicating that the joint development agreement laid the first building blocks. Towards a potential partnership with (Aramco) and (PKN Orlen) in the field of petrochemical production.

The agreement between the three parties aims to evaluate the potential for joint development of a petrochemical complex in the Polish city of Gdansk.
