‎8 wealthy people incur losses of $ 374.4 billion in 2022‎

Unprecedented losses incurred by the world’s largest ‎billionaires during the current year. More than 374 billion ‎dollars have been lost by 8 of the 10 richest people in the world ‎since the beginning of this year until the end of last week’s ‎trading.‎

According to Al-Arabiya, the statistic indicates that the fortunes ‎of 8 of the 10 richest people in the world declined by 30.2%, ‎with losses amounting to about $374.4 billion, after their ‎combined net wealth plunged from $1,238.3 billion at the ‎beginning of the year to about $863.9 billion at the end of the ‎current year.‎

On the other hand, two of the list were able to increase their ‎wealth by 25.3%, with profits exceeding $45.5 billion, after ‎their combined net wealth increased from $179.5 billion at the ‎beginning of 2022, to about $225 billion at the present time.‎

According to the ranking of the list of the rich in terms of ‎wealth, the wealth of Bernard Arnault, who is at the top of the ‎list of the world’s richest people, decreased by 4.7%, losing ‎about 8 billion dollars, after his wealth decreased from 169 ‎billion dollars at the beginning of the year, to about 161 billion ‎dollars at the current time.‎

In second place was the wealthy American Elon Musk, whose ‎wealth declined by 50.3%, losing about $142 billion, after his ‎wealth decreased from the level of $282 billion to about $140 ‎billion, accounting for 37.4% of the total losses incurred by the ‎wealthy during current year.‎

In third place came the billionaire Gautam Adani, whose ‎wealth increased by 56.8%, winning 43.5 billion dollars, after ‎his fortune rose from 76.5 billion dollars to about 120 billion ‎dollars.‎

Fourthly, the American billionaire Bill Gates, whose fortune ‎sank by 20.4%, lost about $28 billion, after his wealth declined ‎from the level of $137 billion at the beginning of 2022, to about ‎‎$109 billion at the present time.‎

While the American billionaire Jeff Bezos came in fifth place, ‎his wealth fell by 47%, losing about $95 billion, after his wealth ‎declined from the level of $202 billion to about $107 billion.‎

In sixth place was billionaire Warren Buffett, whose fortune ‎increased by 1.9%, gaining about two billion dollars, after it ‎rose from the level of $103 billion to $105 billion.‎

Seventh, the billionaire Larry Ellison, whose fortune declined ‎by 16.6%, with losses amounting to about $18.1 billion, as his ‎wealth fell from the level of $109 billion at the beginning of ‎‎2022, to about $90.9 billion at the present time.‎

The Indian Mukesh Ambani came in eighth place, whose ‎fortune declined by 1.3%, losing about $1.2 billion, after his ‎fortune fell from the level of $89.3 billion to about $88.1 ‎billion.‎

Although billionaire Steve Ballmer’s fortune declined by 28.3% ‎after losing $33.7 billion, he ranked ninth on the list of the ‎world’s richest people, with a fortune of about $85.3 billion.‎

In the tenth place, billionaire Larry Page, whose wealth ‎declined by 37%, lost about $ 48.4 billion, after his wealth ‎plunged from the level of $ 131 billion at the beginning of 2022 ‎to the level of $ 82.6 billion at the present time.‎
