Saudi Crown Prince welcomes expanding strategic cooperation ‎between Kingdom, South Korea

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, paid an official visit to the Republic of Korea. He was received at the airport by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Han Duk Soo.

The Crown Prince – may God bless him – met with President Yun Seok Yul, and they held an official session of talks. At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Yeon Seok Yul welcomed the visit of Prince / Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the Republic of Korea, He expressed his happiness at the distinguished relations between the two countries in all fields, and His Highness conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his wishes to His Excellency of good health and happiness and to the Korean people further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the importance of enhancing joint work and pushing the strategic partnership between the two countries to new and promising horizons, and continuing to expand the scope of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea in all aspects of bilateral relations, and establishing a strategic partnership of interest. A future direction with the aim of strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two countries, which extend for more than 60 years

The Crown Prince also noted the pivotal role of the Saudi-Korean Vision 2030 Committee in moving forward to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and the role played by the joint vision in creating an umbrella that contributes to achieving partnerships between the two countries through qualitative economic, social and cultural initiatives and projects with common goals. ..

The Crown Prince also affirmed his keenness to support opportunities for investment integration between the two countries in a number of sectors of common importance, including: industry, renewable energy, communications and information technology, health, technology and innovation, transportation and logistics services, tourism, sports, and culture.

He also welcomed the work with Korea for the success of the huge projects being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the infrastructure works related to these projects, the most important of which is the NEOM project, encouraging major Korean companies to invest and establish regional headquarters for them in the Kingdom.

The Crown Prince also referred to the importance of strategic cooperation between the two countries in various fields of energy, and work to develop a framework to organize and enable innovation in the field of energy and artificial intelligence projects that include support for research projects, new operating models, and the establishment of a system and joint incubators for energy-related entrepreneurship. And provide the required technical support to promote innovation and artificial intelligence in the field of clean energy

The Crown Prince expressed to the President his support for “Korea’s strategies for carbon neutrality and green growth,” which focus on responsible implementation, orderly transition, and innovation as basic principles for achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud praised President Yoon Seok-yul’s efforts to free the Korean Peninsula from nuclear weapons, and peaceful endeavors to achieve lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula, which will contribute to strengthening international peace and security.

At the end of the visit, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Korean President Yoon Seok-yul for the good reception and hospitality he and his accompanying delegation received, and renewed the president’s invitation, Yoon Seok-yeol” to visit Saudi Arabia.
