Energy Minister: Kingdom’s oil exports to Europe doubled to ‎‎950,000 bpd in September

Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said, “We are communicating with many European governments regarding the current crisis,” as Europe is witnessing a critical stage in supply chains.

The minister added during his speech today, Tuesday, as part of the activities of the sixth edition of the “Future Investment Initiative Conference” held in Riyadh, that the Kingdom’s oil imports to Europe doubled in September to 950,000 barrels per day, compared to 490,000 barrels per day last year. ‎

The Minister continued: “In the coming months, we will supply oil to everyone who needs it.”

He added: “It is my duty to warn against the use of strategic reserves,” because the exhaustion of excess capacity carries serious repercussions.

The Minister of Energy said that everyone is talking about a strong recession and it is important to hedge against the worst, adding: “We always have to prepare for the worst in advance.”

The Minister added: “We are excited about the climate conference, being in Egypt, we will hold the Green Middle East initiative and the Green Saudi Arabia in Egypt to review what we have achieved. We will have many achievements in the field of energy during the Egypt conferences.”

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stressed that “Vision 2030 has become the vision of the Saudis as a whole.”

Today, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in Riyadh, the work of the sixth session of the Future Investment Initiative began, under the slogan “Investing in Humanity… Enabling a New World Order”, with the participation of 6000 participants from countries around the world, and 500 speakers from different sectors from inside and outside the Kingdom. It lasts for three days
