ACC: Contractor fails to complete construction of new cement mills in Rabigh plant

The Arab Cement Company (ACC) announced on Tuesday that it had received a statement from the contractor stating that he was unable to complete the project “Construction of new cement mills in its factory in Rabigh.” Accordingly, the company is currently evaluating the general status of the project technically and contractually in order to choose the best way to complete the remaining works of the project, after evaluating the technical and commercial offers from the main equipment manufacturer.
The company also confirms that it retains all contractual and financial rights from the contactor until the completion of the project.
The contractor, China National Building Materials Company (CNBM), did not comply with the schedule, as he informed the company of the inability to complete the project and the necessity of involving a third party.
