MOU from Etihad Atheeb (GO) to extend commitment period ‎for the company to deploy the network

A reference to the Company’s addendum announcement published on the Tadawul website on July 03, 2022 the company submits file and documents for network deployment to the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

Etihad Atheeb Telecom Company (GO) would like to announce to its shareholders that the company received a letter from the CITC on September 05, 2022, stating CITC decision to accept the company fulfillment of the network rollout based on the obligations set forth by CITC according to the frequency spectrum license to provide fixed telecommunication services with infrastructure for the spectrum of the (3500) MHz band granted to it. And regarding Clause (A), “Using the assigned spectrum to cover at least (10%) of the populated areas in the cities based on the license. The CITC will follow up on the company regarding its future obligations to ensure the optimal use of the frequency spectrum and its proper, effective and efficient use in accordance with the license granted to the company and the relevant regulations.

The company will continue to enhance its infrastructure and rollout network to meet the future spectrum obligations set forth by CITC. In this occasion, the company would like to thank the CITC for the coordination and effort provided and for the support and guidance offered to the company, which had a positive impact on the success of the network rollout plan.

There is no financial impact on the change as the spectrum license is not canceled by CITC.
