CMA: 85.3K women, 227.6K investors left Saudi stock market in ‎‎3 months‎

The Capital Market Authority revealed that the number of women investors in the Saudi stock market decreased to about 1.488 million by the end of the second quarter of the year 2022, and the number of women who have investment portfolios has decreased in the market, which is the largest financial market in the Middle East. Moreover, 85,343 women during the second quarter of 2022, compared to their number in the first quarter of this year, which was 1.573 million.

However, when comparing the number of women invested in the stock market with what it was in the same quarter of the previous year 2021, it becomes clear that they increased by about 71.1 thousand women, as their number reached 1.417 million women at that time.

On the other hand, the number of men invested in the Saudi stock market decreased to 4.183 million, with a decrease of 227.6 thousand investors compared to the first quarter of 2022, where their number was 4.410 million, and their number decreased by 62.3 thousand compared to the second quarter of 2021, which was 4.245 million.

The total number of individuals investing in the stock market reached 5.670 million at the end of the second quarter of 2022, while the investment portfolios of all investors in the stock market rose to 10,763 million investment portfolios by the end of the second quarter of 2022, after it was 10.114 million in the first quarter of the year 2022.
