The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced that the price of its basket of crudes, which includes the average prices of 13 crudes produced by member countries, exceeded $96 per barrel.
“OPEC” stated – in its bulletin issued today, Wednesday – that the price of its basket of crude rose to $96.5 a barrel yesterday, after it reached $95.2 the previous day.
The annual rate of the basket price was about $69.89 a barrel in 2021, and $41.47 a barrel in 2020.
The OPEC reference basket of crudes consists of 13 crudes, each of which represents the main export oil for each of the member countries of the organization.
