Flynas inks e-payment deal with Amazon

flynas, the Saudi air carrier and the leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, announced indtroducing an installment payment option that allows travelers to pay for their reservations in regular monthly payments through the bank that issued the credit card, thus becoming the first airline in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to offer this option to its clients.

Based on this announcement, flynas signed an agreement with Amazon for Electronic Payment Services, a payment processing and management service in the Middle East and North Africa that aims to give e-businesses an easy, cost-effective and reliable electronic payment experience.

It should be noted that flexible and secure installment options are now available through the flynas website, giving passengers the freedom to book their flights with the preferred option no matter where they are in the world by selecting the installment payment option on the payment page and entering the card details. Eligibility for installments depends on the bank that issued the credit card. Currently, the installment payment service is supported by banks in three countries: Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

This initiative comes at a time when flynas managed to exceed the level of its operations before the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, with an operating capacity of 103% in December 2021 compared to December 2019. Moreover, as part of its expansion strategy, flynas announced an increase in the number of Aircraft orders to 250, becoming the largest low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa. Flynas’s growth strategy is in line with its commitment to support the Kingdom’s goal of receiving 100 million tourists annually by 2030.

The Saudi air carrier has been ranked globally among the top 10 low-cost airlines, and it currently connects more than 70 local and international destinations through a fleet of more than 35 aircraft, and plans to increase its destinations to 165. Since the company’s establishment in 2007 until today, flynas has transported more than of 60 million passengers.

Recently, flynas received the highest rating in an assessment conducted by the non-profit organization APEX, and was classified in the 4-star budget airline category, the highest category of low-cost airlines among 600 companies globally. In addition, it has been ranked as the Middle East’s Leading Low-Cost Airline by the World Travel Awards for seven consecutive years and has been awarded the International Skytrax Award as Best Low-Cost Airline in the Middle East for 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 and also the Best Airline Service in the Middle East for 2019.
