BCI Begins Commercial Operation of Chlorine and Derivatives Production Project in Plaschem Complex in Jubail

Basic Chemical Industries (BCI) announced on Sunday to that all necessary operational licenses have been obtained for its new factory for chlorine, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid products in Plaschem complex in Jubail Industrial City, and that commercial production of the plant has been already started.

It explained that in conjunction with the start of the commercial operation of the new factory in Jubail, production has been stopped at the chlorine plant in the industrial complex in Dammam, and it is planned to reach the design capacity of the plant (50 thousand tons of chlorine) within a month from this date.

In addition to that, the company is currently researching and studying the best ways to invest the old factory in a way that guarantees the maximum interest of the shareholders.
