European natural gas prices declined on Monday after rebounding and erasing earlier losses.
This came despite lower flows from Norway and decreased US liquefied natural gas volumes added to concerns about the risk of Russian supply cuts.
Dutch front-month gas, the European benchmark, dipped 3% to surpass 80 euros a megawatt-hour at 12:41 p.m. in Amsterdam, after earlier rising as much as 2.1%. The UK equivalent jumped 6.5% to almost 156 pence a therm.
Analysts at Timera Energy said in a note that there have been signals on lower demand in Europe for LNG because of warmer weather.
