Gold prices rose in choppy trading on Monday, as a dipping dollar buoyed the yellow metal, although gains were capped by some investors turning to riskier assets in Asia.
According to Reuters, Spot gold surged 0.2% to trade at $1,856.86 per ounce, as of 0152 GMT.
U.S. gold futures climbed 0.1% to trade at $1,859.40 per ounce.
For other precious metals, Spot silver advanced 0.1% to $22.13 per ounce, platinum gained 0.1% to $954.51, while palladium soared 0.8% to $2,079.39.
